Who am I?
Education, Accreditation, and my approaches
aka How Do You Know How to Do This?
My name is Hannah Hale and I am a pre-licensed Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). This means I am accredited through the BCACC, the legal regulatory body within BC. I have a Masters in Counselling with City University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of Victoria.
I practice primarily through the lens of narrative, Interpersonal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and person-centered therapy. I believe that your time is valuable and should be focused on what you want to focus on. The tools I use are for us to create change, together.
Therapeutic beliefs
Aka But Are You Going to be Cool About That?
I believe in the power of social justice and an intersectional understanding of our world. I am a member of the LGBT+ community and love working with clients within my community. I aim to be kink-positive, sex work-positive, and body-positive within session. However, I am not perfect. I appreciate being challenged, and being taught. However, teaching me should never be your responsibility in session, and I make sure that doesn’t happen (we can discuss more during your first session!)
My main priority is always your safety within session
